Our Curriculum
Our Vision
As a school community we have looked at the following questions:
What should a child leaving Craigfelen aged 11 be like?
What should they know?
What should they experience?
These word pictures show our answers. They form the starting point of our new curriculum
Our school vision has been carfully crafted involving a range of stakeholders including staff, governors, pupils and their families. The video below explains our school vision.

The Craigfelen Pledge
We feel everyone has the right to a childhood and all of the wonderful experiences a childhood should include. Our community has come together to create a pledge of 100 activities that you will get at Craigfelen. Staff have planned out where these activities will take place during the school journey and we encourage activities to be completed outside of school as well.
Every child will be given a Pledge Passport. Once an activity is completed you will be awarded with a sticker to stick in your pledge passport.

Our Learning Journey
We have been working hard upon our curriculum offer.
We have looked at how children learn throughout the phases of our school linking closely with the Pedagogical Principles.
We have also looked at the stages of learnign and how learning develops.
Our stages of learning and what happens when can be seen below in the image and the children have created a helpful video to help explain.

We have also looked at what each phase of learning will look like and how progress will be measured. We have worked closely with Andy Penaluna to look at how we can assess the Integral Skills during the Innovation Stage of Learning and how children can reflect upon these using their reflection diaries.
We have also looked closely at our topics:
